JWT/Wunderman/Team Detroit was the exclusive design agency for Ford Motor Company, and from 2005-2008, I was part of a large website design team that worked closely with members of Ford Marketing and Product Development, to create digital experiences that supported vehicle launches. As an information architect, I was the user advocate that designed sitemaps and wireframes for marketing sites for the Edge, Escape, Expedition, Sport Trac, and Flex vehicle launches. I soon became involved in cross-vehicle website projects, most notably the redesign of their complex vehicle configurator. I also contributed to broader company initiatives, including Ford’s redesigned marketing campaign, Bold Moves. In addition to designing and collaborating with creatives and developers, I conducted usability lab testing in multiple U.S. cities, contributed to SEO/SEM campaigns with large vendors such as Yahoo, Google, and Microsoft, and worked closely with QA to ensure the projects we created were not only were first class in design but also usable by customers.
